In August, the Women's Small Business Accelerator welcomed a new member to our Board of Directors: Kelly Borth, Chief Strategy Officer, CBC, APR at GREENCREST.

Kelly Borth

During her 35+ year career, Kelly has contributed a great deal of energy and creativity to the numerous non-profit boards she has served on as member, executive committee member, president, and chair. As a visionary thinker, Kelly has been involved in chartering numerous organizations in Columbus such as NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) as well as ACG (Association for Corporate Growth). Her vast experience on non-profit boards includes: Columbus Chamber of Commerce, Jefferson Water & Sewer District, Advertising Federation of Columbus, NAWBO, Heinzerling Foundation, American Heart Association, Young Survival Coalition, Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Athena Powerlink, Employment for Seniors, Friends of the Library – Columbus Metro Neighborhood Design Center, Northwoods Condo Association, Ohio Department of Development, Shepherd’s Corner, St. Pius X Catholic Church, Conway Family Business Center, and The Entrepreneurship Institute.

Most often, her expertise with running a business, financial management and marketing have been the primary areas of expertise she has brought to the table. In addition to mentoring several start-up women business owners, Kelly is also involved with many start-up companies, working side-by-side with CEOs and presidents across multiple industries to lead market strategy, determine opportunities to grab and grow market share and develop aggressive marketing strategies and actionable plans that produce game-changing business results. Because her own business, now in its 25th year, was also a start-up business, she has first-hand experience in what it takes to start and grow a business.

We look forward to having Kelly on board as a strategic partner in the development of our organization.
